Spirit of Giving this Holiday Season with HC4A

As we embrace the spirit of giving, we invite you to learn more about the enduring mission of HC4A (Humanitarian Community for All). Since 2010, HC4A has been a dedicated 501(c)(3) nonreligious, nonpolitical organization committed to bridging income disparities through education.

Our work is focused on supporting children and young adults across Texas—regardless of ethnicity—who are either experiencing or emerging from homelessness, or who come from low-income backgrounds. Our mission is fueled by hundreds of volunteers, many from the Indian American community, who live by the motto: “Serve Where You Live”.

Our Transformative Impact Over 14 Years

For over 14 years, HC4A has worked to equip young Texans with the tools they need to secure a respectable standard of living. Our collective impact includes:

  • Raising over $2 million from more than 2,000 donors.
  • Providing essential school supplies to 16,000+ homeless students.
  • Granting over 800 vocational scholarships to low-income young adults.
  • Offering crucial humanitarian assistance during both natural disasters and pandemics.

This track record of commitment has earned us distinction, including the Platinum Transparency 2024 status from Candid , as well as numerous awards for excellence in education and partnership.

The Power of Giving Tuesday

Giving Tuesday, celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving, is a global movement that inspires millions to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity. It’s a day when communities come together to support causes they care about, and it’s the perfect opportunity to make a meaningful impact with HC4A.

Our efforts are channeled through three core programs designed to provide practical support and pathways to in-demand careers:

  • STEM-Based Vocational Scholarships: This program empowers youth to pursue technical degrees and secure careers in high-demand fields, directly supporting their transition from poverty to a respectable standard of living.
  • Digital Skills Certification: We offer low-income youth essential skills, certification programs, and mentoring to enhance their employability in the competitive digital economy.
  • Schooling Needs: We provide homeless students with custom-packed school supplies tailored to their specific grade level and the academic year requirements of their respective Independent School Districts (ISD).
